The ORAMA project based on modern technologies computer vision, augmented reality and artificial intelligence to develop an innovative, integrated, and interactive physical exercise system in the context of promoting physical fitness and preventive healthcare, based on the provision of personalized and guided exercises and user experience. It is aimed at people who want to maintain or improve their physical fitness through physical exercise at home, as well as exercise and health professionals who wish to expand their services beyond their professional space by offering their clients remote exercise programs.
Orama odjectives

- Creation of an innovative technological product that will improve quality of life of the general population, as well as specific groups (e.g., athletes, the elderly, etc.) and their environment by facilitating frequent exercise at home with the possibility of remote monitoring and significantly reducing the frequency and cost of visits to a specialized training or health facility.
- Implementation of a digital augmented reality environment , that during physical exercise detect, will reflect and will record record the movements of the trainee in real-time guidance and will record visualize his posture and movement during the tests and exercises, using technologies computer vision.
- Recommendation of suggested exercises based on the trainee's history and/or based on real-time communication with the system, using technologies artificial intelligence.
- Development of guidance mechanisms of trainees through interactive commands with visual and audible indicators, which will include the giving instructions step by step and the providing real-time feedback to ensure that each exercise is performed correctly and accurately, incorporating the expert knowledge of exercise professionals.
- Development of the ORAMA platform as an integrated portable processing unit in a single device, which will incorporate a camera, have connectivity units for connection to peripheral displays, and provide the necessary network access.
- Strengthening interaction between trainees and exercise and health professionals allowing, on the one hand, professionals (e.g., physical therapists, trainers, etc.) to assess the motor limitations of the exerciser through appropriate tests supported by the OPERA platform and then create personalized home exercise programs for their clients.
- Pilot implementation and evaluation of the ORAMA platform in real conditionsThe system will be tested on 20-30 trainees (of various ages and levels) and 5-10 specialists (clinicians/physical therapists/trainers, etc.) for 4-6 weeks to evaluate functionality, interest/participation, compliance, and achievement of goals.
- Commercial exploitation of the ORAMA platform, as a product which will be aimed at both individuals who want to exercise at home and exercise and health professionals who want to expand their services online. Industrial property rights will be secured by filing a patent application, industrial property rights με κατάθεση Διπλώματος Ευρεσιτεχνίας and a sustainable economic model will be developed for the distribution and commercial exploitation of the product in the Greek and international markets of the final ORAMA platform.
